The land of a thousand pagodas

Myanmar is a fairly large country, so the places of interest are somewhat scattered. However, we can already tell you that the distances from one point to another are definitely worth it.

In Yangon, the main gateway for many travelers to this country, there are two of the city’s most prominent temples: the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Sule Pagoda. What usually causes the most impact in this urban nucleus are its vibrant neighborhoods, its night markets and the atmosphere of its restaurants. But if we refer to the country in general, what will attract your attention the most is bound to be the authenticity and kindness of its inhabitants.

You will then fly to Bagan. Here you will stroll through its amazing markets and visit its most emblematic shrines such as the Ananda Temple and the Shwezigon Pagoda, located at the top of the Singuttara Hill and famous for being covered in gold and crowned with diamonds and rubies. The bright stupas and lush vegetation of the land create a picture worthy of being admired from a hot air balloon -would you dare to live this experience?

You will continue the tour in the direction of Mandalay, a city that reachable by car, by plane or, if you have time, by boat on the river -this is the most relaxing and picturesque way to do it. Once in Mandalay, you can continue to immerse yourself in Myanmar’s Buddhist culture by visiting its many temples.

Later, a plane will take you to a place that feels like a breath of fresh air, since it is a beautiful place full of nature. It is the Inle Lake, the last stop on this wonderful journey. You will have the opportunity to relax while you cruise it aboard a boat and contemplate the fabulous landscape. We assure you that it will be a closure as brilliant as the gold that covers many of the pagodas in this charming country.
