The pearl of Africa

Uganda, known as “the pearl of Africa”, is a destination full of tourist attractions that you cannot miss.

Begin your adventure in Kampala, the capital of the country. This town sits next to Lake Victoria, so we encourage you to take a nice boat ride while you watch the locals fish.

Then, head to Murchinson Falls, aiming to admire the falls from the bottom or from above. If you are a lover of outdoor sports, take advantage of the fabulous rapids offered by the sources of the Nile and have a great time practicing rafting.

If you go to the Semuliki National Park, you will be able to observe the shoebill, a very curious species whose beak is reminiscent of the typical wooden clogs.

One of the highlights of the trip is the Kibale National Park. In this location you can go on an excursion with a ranger to see the chimpanzees.

In the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a helicopter flight to appreciate the landscape from above. Other interesting activities await you, such as seeing the climbing lions in the Ishasha sector or taking a boat ride through the Kazinga Channel.

The most exciting thing will come at the end of the trip in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, when you will finally go on the demanding trek that will take you to see the mountain gorillas in the wild. It is an experience you will always remember!

If you have more time, don’t miss Kidepo Valley Park. It is a remote and unique place in Uganda, where the only human interaction you can have in the area is with the Karamojong, an ethnic group of semi-nomadic herders.
